How we evaluate every supplement
Every product referenced on NaturaToday goes through the same six-point editorial review before it is discussed on the site. This is a summary of what that review looks at.
-
Ingredient profile
We read the declared active ingredients, typical dosages and how they are combined, comparing the formula against publicly available ingredient information from sources such as MedlinePlus, NIH and EFSA.
-
Evidence check
We look at what published research and traditional-use documentation exists for the ingredients involved, and we are explicit about the limits of that evidence — a supplement review is not a clinical trial.
-
Safety review
We note contraindications, groups that should be cautious (pregnancy, chronic conditions, prescription medication) and any known interactions flagged in the literature.
-
Manufacturer transparency
We check what the manufacturer discloses about origin, certifications and quality documentation, and we say plainly when that information is not publicly available.
-
User feedback analysis
Where reader or public feedback is available, we summarise recurring themes without presenting anecdotes as guaranteed outcomes.
-
Label and claim review
We flag marketing claims that overreach — cure, guarantee, replace-medication language — and note where a claim is not supported by the available evidence.
This process is editorial, not clinical. It does not replace a consultation with a qualified healthcare professional, and it is not a substitute for the manufacturer’s own official information.
